If your hair is straight, please reconsider putting products in your hair. It will make your locks heavy and it’s extremely easy to overapply. If you insist on using product (which is unnecessary), please consider using something that is washable. Wax is not washable and does not ever come out of locked hair unless you remove the locks themselves.
For your hair type, the following combination methods tend to work best:
- Twist and rip
- Backcombing and twist-and-rip
- Backcombing and crochet hooking
- Backcombing, twist-and-rip, and crochet hooking
