Are locs supposed to be re twisted clockwise or counterclockwise?

Hello there.

The direction of your retwisting doesn’t matter. Clockwise or counterclockwise will produce the same results.

HOWEVER, you should pick one direction and use that consistently for your retwists. For instance, if you retwisted clockwise last month, and counterclockwise this month, you’re likely undoing some of your locking process.

Pick your favorite direction and stick with it! Either one is fine but consistency is key.

I hope this is helpful to you.

I should mention that many right-handed people choose clockwise, while left-handed people choose counter-clockwise, because the wrist motion is easier. While this isn’t a necessary rule, it’s a dominant trend you may find useful!
